Ridiculous tracking methods?! What happened?!

So I opened a new Amazon account about 4 weeks ago. Things were going good until a few days ago it was randomly suspended saying it was linked to another account (I had a previous Amazon account that was closed around the same time as my eBay account).

What happened?

I changed my IP and ISP
I moved (not for this reason, but I didn't open my new act til I moved)
I used a different name
I never provided a social - I used an EIN
I used a new computer
I listed different items than my previous account
I got a new phone number


Any ideas? I'm baffled. The only thing I could come up with is that perhaps someone at this new home I moved to had an amazon account that was suspended and that they "linked me" to this random person

How about MAC addresses?

Same items? Amazons tracking is RIDICULOUS!

Plus why did you provide EIN so quickly? Seems like a waste as they are not going to suspend you until september 30th.

I don't think I changed the MAC address. However, I did have a completely new router and new ISP (and new computer).

Amazon may make some mistakes.

Their tracking is far superior to that of ebay.

Do not be fooled to think otherwise.

I used an entirely new bank account. completely different institution too.

If your account got linked within a mere few days that means you definately messed up somewhere obvious ...

Try it again but make sure everything is NEW and nothing has the taint of the old account

It was closed after about 3 weeks. I actually got my first deposit with no problems.

dont be terrified, ive had 7 amazon accts closed in the last year, got all my deposit in about 60 days, even though they tell you 90 days...

lol, sometimes they wont even pay out. I am still waiting on my pay out of $1200. Over 1 year and still no payout.

i can confirm as well as rsot that amazon sometimes doesn't release the funds even after 90 days.

I have a spreadsheed to help me keep track of all my closed Amazon accounts.

Especially the accounts they completely wipe out and you cannot access any longer.

Just had one come up on 12 months from when I lost access and they actually mailed out a check for the account balance. Of course it went to an old bogus address.

Wow, now im terrified, i never knew that they would not pay sometimes, i guess i was lucky.....was thinking of selling 12k in product, pump and dump style and just wait for 3 months.....now im rethinking.
