I have used a checking account from a CU on my suspended account. The checking account can either have 10 digits (0000444444) or it can have 6 digits (444444) and still be the same thing. If I were to use this account again with 4 digits instead of the 10 digits, do you think that the bots will pick it up?

if the extra digits are just 0000 then i would not think it is a good idea

If there is a chance (which I would highly assume), then why take the risk?

Yes they are just zeros. I just remember reading that people have used their savings accounts without issues, so I was just wondering on the checking account (b/c it is "different" numbers).

i would say it's a HIGH risk of linkage and not worth it. you can always experiment and take one for the team, that is how we progress

when you use 6 digits, the system automatically adds 4 zeros in front of it. So yeah, it would be a really easy link I used to work in payments processing center.

Sometimes Paypal/Amazon systems is smarter then you think. Back when prepaid cards were good to use I added the card number ( which was different then the bank account) as the bank but after I confirmed it the actual bank number was there.

That`s pretty rough oge so they sifted out the info

I just looked at my checks and it has 19000 before the number, so although I am not sure if I am going to test it out or not (b/c I already opened new accounts), I wonder if it would work??
