USB Antenna WIFI Booster amazon question?

I am using a USB Wifi Booster. Very powerful, and I am able to pick up signals from quite a distance. I am able to access hotspots in my area. However, some of these hotspots (restaurants etc..) have regular Wifi as opposed to WayPort access. They are still hotspots, so it is perfectly legal.
My question is: does Amazon have the ability to track my USB booster? Would they be able to track me by the USB booster antenna. I am using a new laptop, but if possible would like to use if for at least a couple of stealth accounts. Any information/advice would be greatly appreciated.

please note: I would never use the Wifi Antenna to crack wep security (although it has that capability) on any signals. I use it only as a booster for legal hotspots...

Sounds like it won't work. How do you know other people aren't using these hotspots to access amazon?

DHB123, It depends if your USB Booster has it's own MAC address. That's key. If it does, they will be able to tell.

MAC will be least of the problems. You should not be using hotspots to run your accounts. There is too much of a chance of others logging in with the same ip

Search around the forum, using public hotspots has been discouraged for ages.

Although...if its a hotspot with a ton of users such as Starbucks or McDonalds, then I think it might be ok.

why is that ok?

sax4 10-24-2012 04:52 PM

Well tonnes of people are logging in to Paypal at Starbucks everyday, they must realise its a public WiFi hotspot. Who knows

BiN4RY 10-24-2012 05:24 PM

No it doesn't make it okay. These people most likely has very active and established accounts and most likely ID verified and all, that's why they wouldn't care about their accounts as much.

Most people that use HotSpots via Starbucks, McDonalds etc. are usually BUYERS.

eBay and Amazon really don't care where a buyer logs in from.

But expect a certain amount of scrutiny using those places if you are a seller.

Sellers do not generally conduct their businesses from HotSpots for the obvious reasons. :)

Yes, I'm curious as well which booster you are using,
I need a recommendation. I doubt they have a MAC on them
that Amzn could read.

DHB123 10-31-2012 07:52 AM

I used a Starbucks access very successfully for 6 months. The only reason I stopped was to keep it under 20,000 in sales. Never had a problem. As for the booster, I checked with the manufacturer and they say it does have a mac address. The wifi booster is made in Canada, and I am thinking of selling them as they are not made in China.

autogarsas 10-31-2012 08:55 AM

What is deal about MAC adress? If the eb|pp doesnt see it?

rsot 10-31-2012 09:00 AM

You are an exception DHB - congratz though so far - not recommend the public wifi hotspot and like areas.

USB Antenna WIFI Booster???

sax4 10-31-2012 12:27 PM

2 mile????

autogarsas 10-31-2012 01:06 PM

Why not? Here is the usb wifi receiver (wifi receiver is inside antenna, becouse it must be as much as possible near it) With 10 meters 2xUSB (need power) cables, and should take 5miles on open area, but also hot spot must have good antenna.

Yes you can extend your wifi range to about 1-2 miles if its line of sight. But it really depends how many objects, like buildings, are in the way. These range boosters usually also have a higher power draw, so if you're using one for your laptop, expect lower battery run time.

Check heng3heng store on eBay for Wi-Fi boosters. You won't be dissapointed buying equipment from him. Highly recommended, works with BackTrack as well!
