advice on a charge back (unauthorized)
 

Sent a 200$ item first class mail, has delivery conformation though, stupid I know. Now I know. Its a CPU so my profit was 25ish, sending fedex and sign required takes away from any profit...

Anyway I havent responded to the charge back request yet, but Ive sent the buyer a scare tactic email. Buyer responded saying her account was hacked blah blah blah and she was refunded by her bank already and that she still has the item and will send it back if I send her a prepaid label.

My question is, there is a slight chance this could happen...so whats 8$ in a prepaid shipping label? Im not going to get screwed two times if I do this right? Like loose the charge back and then get hit with a refund because she showed she returned it?

I had this happen before on an item with ebay. Buyer emailed me saying her account was hacked, and soon followed was an email from paypal not to ship the item....

Just wanna make sure there is nothing im not seeing here before I issue the return label....

Unlike paypal/ebay amazon has way better security to prevent theft/use of accounts.

Send the buyer a prepaid label, I dont understand why you havent yet. If they dont use it u can always cancel it and get your money back. If the buyer returns the item refund her.. maybe her account did get jack. She said she had the item and wants to return it...

Was not clear but AZ has not hit you with the chargeback right?

Send the label...... I would take the chance on loosing $8 in shipping to hopefully get a $200 item back rather than not send a return label and lose the charge back claim too!
