NEW to Amazon - Failed Seller Review Process

I decided to sell on amazon for the first time, using my true and correct information. Created the seller account but never started selling anything until like 4 months later. After about a week and a half, I was at $1800 in sales. Then I got "failed seller review process". I didnt even know what that is, so i tried the "appeal". I received an email back stating....

"We regret that your account has failed our review process. Your account has been closed and you are no longer eligible to sell on our site.

Please note that we will be unable to correspond further about this situation.

The blocking of your account is a permanent action. We take such steps in the interest of maintaining a free and fair venue for all participants.
"

I waited the 3 months and got my money finally transferred to my account. No chargebacks from customers + 7 (5 star) positive ratings + and seller performance standing at GOOD.

Recently I received a new alert stating "Amazon requires that you provide your taxpayer identification information. Your selling privileges have been suspended until the information is provided."

My question is - since the email i received stated that the "action of my closed account is permanent", if i input my tax id info - will amazon re-open my account? Or will my account still be suspended and now my tax id info banned from amazon?

Should i give them my tax id info or make a new account with differ information, and add my tax id info to that?

sounds generic message you will add info and still be suspended better make a new one and add your info to that one

No, you will not be reinstated if you add Tax info

Once you are suspended you are suspended (they are just asking for tax info on ALL accounts suspended or not)

You just gotta make a new stealth account and start over fresh

First Im not a big amazon seller but I would venture to say that since your account was dormant for awhile and then your sales just went through the roof that raised up the flags and down with the account. Now I'm just throwing this idea out there but your already suspended and you got your money, so I would say no to giving them more information.
Everyone knows these companies feed you a bunch of nonsense for more of your info. Just think it through but in the meantime start working on a new account as everyday matters and SLOW down the sales. Hope it works out for you and wait for others to chime in

Generic automated message move on and start anew!!Account will not be reinstated..

ok thank you guys for your advice. it just sux that i used my correct info and it got banned for no reason. it was my very first time selling on amazon, i am glad i didnt give them my tax id info.

It means they have linked your account to a previous blocked one.
Dont be st stupid it has nothing got to do with "t was dormant for awhile and then your sales just went through the roof that raised up the flags and down with the account".

I emailed them on why my stealth account failed the review process and this is what they said:
Greetings from Amazon.

Thank you for contacting Christopher North with your enquiry. I am the manager of the Seller Performance team and your email has been passed to me for review. Mr North has been advised of the outcome of my investigation.

As part of my review of your account, I have identified a number of related accounts which have been closed in the past. In light of these findings, your selling privileges have been permanently suspended.

Once selling privileges have been removed, sellers are not allowed to establish new accounts.

Due to the proprietary nature of our business, we do not provide detailed information on how we determine that accounts are related.

We encourage you to take appropriate steps to resolve any pending orders. Note that any amounts paid as a result of A-to-z Guarantee claims and chargebacks may be deducted from your seller account.

THIS IS WHY YOU GET THE MESSAGE "FAILED REVIEW", Dont listen to all this other bull****!

If they link your account you get banned. You do not get a seller review. I suggest you do some reading before posting erroneous replies and accusing people of being stupid.:boink:

This forum is becoming a joke, people giving bad advise,

The original forums were for users to help other users, share and participate, supended individuals, and those becoming knowledgeable not to be confused with the amateurs users with ged diplomats passing their time online; does not make you an expert in the how selling platforms work, read the book that with research and study was made to help those individuals by Aspkin,

Use your intuition or do not at all, with erroneous and lacking experience and all of sudden you're jeff bezos, even moderators use cognition without evident rational thought and inference, what a joke.

ban me idgf :smash:

Seller review- if you fail it it means they have linked your account to a blocked one. I know this because when I failed the review and emailed Christopher North the manager of seller performance asking why he stated that my account was linked to a blocked one.

Ime being honest. Why else do you think other members on this forum who have successfully created stealth accounted have said they have never got the message failed review or ever heard of it. I know, if you get failed review it means they have linked you.

mufc365 01-16-2013 12:21 PM

Amazon would not just block you for no apparent reason. They just have advanced technology to track you, unlike eBay. My advice Is to read the stealth guide thoroughly because its obvious that maybe they are missing some vital steps which means Anazon link them.

I sincerely apologise if I offended anyone, please forgive me

Better stated. Just have to be much more careful with Amazon.

barrycruan 01-16-2013 01:47 PM

I failed my first amazon review on my first account. No links what so ever but I got a review in the first week and banned. After many many emails they basically said it was down to selling too much without any feedback.

rsot 01-16-2013 02:02 PM

True point - Amazon is killer on feedback and yet they dont do much to help the seller.

mufc365 01-17-2013 04:52 AM

I think when you first open the account you should not list anything for the first month or do. Build some history on the account, maybe buy a few items.

With any new seller when they open an account and sell a lot Amazon suspect they may not dispatch the goods and do a runner with the cash.
