| KingDog | 11-12-2012 01:42 PM | Re-using bank accounts I've had a theory for some time now since Amazon can't see your bank account number and it is locked away can you re-use it for another account?
Has anyone actually taken the risk to try this? I know it's a big no-no and people never risk it. But is tat theory or has it been proven.
The reason I ask is I was supposed to get a deposit today and I just put in the bank account and some tool opened an A-Z. The account will be negative and I'm not dealing with it. Can I use the bank account on another account? |
| slim jim | 11-12-2012 01:50 PM | if they can't see your account # then where is that info going when you enter it? |

and the auto detect can. |
| Gamefreak | 11-12-2012 03:10 PM | 1 banks do not give out same account numbers so they would know its the same person or someone who knows that person... |

What kind of theory is this? Maybe I am not following but once you enter your bank onto AZ, it is EASY for them to keep it in the database and crosslink you.
In the past, you could do this but with Az's rough policies now...very dangerous to reuse bank accounts |
| webguy | 11-12-2012 04:18 PM | I have had many Amazon accounts over the years and one thing I know for sure, they have made alot of changes to protect themselves recently. This I know for a fact.
I myself have never tried to use the same account twice so I could tell you for sure, but if you have alot to loose, (if it is an established account) I wouldn't chance it unless someone you can trust told you they have done it with no problems. |
Well If you have a banned bank, then given it a go and tell us how you get on |

I've been selling since 2007 and I've never the protection they have now, I think they started it late last year |
| hercheys | 11-12-2012 09:09 PM | Personally I tried it before early this year, and although seperately from my stablished good-standing account. Created an account to see if I could get more sales hence I'd hit my velocity limits on my current account, after creating a stealth account to test and see if my former bank account number would work, I linked to this stealth account thus keep in mind this bank number had been added on my first ever seller account suspended by Amazon and since never reused.
Long story short this account had over 20 good feedbacks in good standing. The next day after changing the bank details the account was blocked and linked by Amazon during a follow up email. So... idk and I wouldn't risk it. |
| bboard | 11-13-2012 10:55 PM | I have tried to reuse an old Chase bank account number ... my account (which up until that point was in good standing) got deleted almost INSTANTLY |
These new heavy measures started in 2010 actually.
Getting new bank account is good.

Now what If I put in an old bank account for the 90 day suspension deposit? |
@KingDog, that will ALSO lead to deletion...or POSSIBLE deletion - very dangerous to do...I would not |
| hercheys | 11-16-2012 07:32 PM | ^^ Yes, overall I wouldn't recommend given the technology Amazon's packing. As others have added getting a new account would bypass your problems. :ranger: |
Also simple to get new account - especially in the US |
