Does refunding shipping ding you Am@zon rating?

Does Am@zon have a matrix for shipping cost returns? I may need to refund some money to a few buyers for issues with their shipments and was curious if that is going to hurt my seller rating. They seem to punish you for ever little thing over there.

Too many refunds will hurt you, but refunds aren't uncommon. Just try to eliminate them as much as possible.

I would also like to add you should be keeping an eye on your customer metrics, and all your stats will be accessible there to see how you are doing.

Thanks for the quick reply. I know returns in general are not good. Was just curious if shipping cost refunds plays any part in your seller performance.

I would assume so, but my refunds are so rare, I dont really know exactly. Typicall if I have an issue I tend to fix there issue, so I dont have to refund.

So shipping cost refund is bad too? Dang, since USPS is so slow to deliver a package for one customer, I offer to refund the shipping cost to the customer to keep them happy and not ding me with a negative feedback sigh.
