Spoof Mac when using VMWare

Hello,
I read the Amazon Ghost document, but just a quick question. Do I need to spoof the Mac if I am using a static VPN and VMWare workstation? I have a separate workstation and VPN for each account. Trying to set up 2 accounts each on both ebay and amazon.

If you have seperate workstation and VPN - you wont need to spoof your mac. If your accounts get suspended then you don't need to create new machine - you can spoof the mac easily on Vmware. VM Tab in VMware -- Settings -- Network Adapter -- Advanced -- There you will see your MAC address and "Generate" button. You can get new mac address by clicking generate button. Just save it and reboot machine.

There is no way for amazon to see your MAC address, we'll not unless you install some software to let them.

I'm not 100% positive but I also do not believe Amazon can see your MAC address. However, if you are using some sort of wireless connection such as at a coffee shop, they can see your MAC. I always spoof my MAC anyway just to be safe.

Ok here is some facts about the mac addresses:
All mac addresses are attached to the company that manufactures the device (modem, wireless card etc.). Meaning that if the the first 3 or 4 (don't remember howmany exactly) sets of numbers and letters are the company authenticators. VMware has purchased and registered its authenticators, you can look it up online. Therefor, if AZ could see your mac and you guys all use the VMware since this is what it tells you to do in the book then it should not be that hard for AZ to black list all of the VMware macs right?

anyone else has any geeky comments? I have seen a lot of debates about this topic on this site!

If you want spoof vmware mac address you can find prefix at this links. However No any website can see your mac address if you dont install a java applet or additional software. But If you login your account from Amazon App for Android or Iphone. They can see your phones info & wifi mac 3g mac phone id etc. So dont use phone app.

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but would a mac address on a vps be stealth?
