Amazon Email I got

]Hi Folks, I got this email from Amazon.. What the heck does it mean? Sounds like a way for them to screw me out of $ or hold money..
Hello from Amazon.

We are writing to let you know that we are conducting a review of your selling account. During the review, a rolling reserve will be applied to funds in your seller account.

The reserve will be equivalent to your gross sales amount for the preceding 7 days. Based on your order volume, the amount of the reserve may change daily.

You can view your account balance and reserve amount in the Payments section of your seller account. When your account balance exceeds the reserve amount, funds will be available per your disbursement schedule.

Account reviews are intended to ensure the timely shipment of orders and compliance with our selling policies. Please continue to fulfill orders and list only items that you are able to ship by or before the Expected Ship Date.

For information on how you may be able to expedite this review, search on “Velocity Limits and Account Reviews” in seller Help.

We will notify you by e-mail when our account review is complete.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Best regards,

Merchant Approval Team

It looks as if your brand new account is being assessed for viability.

It means you should tread carefully. Ship fast, get, feedback & improve standing with amazon.

At this point be happy you got this email & no account deletion.

Well it least the account did not get deleted.

Good Luck, If everything is fine, you should pass review.

Just checking that you are not selling phakes, and make sure that you are good with customers and orders.

Being the "perfect" amazon seller.

Be good, and make sure to ship on time while they are reviewing you. They do not send a email saying that the review is done if you passed, they just release the money. But if you do get a follow up email, that means your likely suspended.

Deleted would be no access to log into amazon and no email update.

Good Luck

I have gotten this email on many accounts and for each one that passed I did receive an email (usually about 23-27 days later) saying the rolling reserve had been lifted (i.e. I passed the review).

Its a hold policy - just operate well and be careful

How long will they hold my money?

Can anyone explain to me what a rolling reserve is, maybe an example, and how long will they hold my money?

Thanks,
Wes

it means say you make $200 a week ,they will send you about 33%.

the remaining 66% is kept by them. they will do this for about 1 month and then that remaining 66% will be given back at the end of the month

Making sure you are not just there to make a quick buck and split.
it is used in case of chargebacks and A to Z claims.

You are very lucky. They are giving you a chance to prove yourself.

i just got this email too cos i joined up amazon couple days ago and i am selling now. should i be sh1ttin myself? i have sent out one item that i sold and yet to ship out the others tomorrow, all recorded delivery.

I have a new what I believe is a stealth account, after about 10 sales I got the review mail, and 10 days later im still perfect with a decent amount of sales but a handful of feedbacks.

My question why do some people get the rolling reserve at least while their account is in review and some don't. It makes me feel as though I might be working hard on this one for nothing. It sucks not knowing at all whats going to happen, the fact that they would do this rolling reserve seems much better than not having one

Are you still around OP (Wes)? Did you ever get out of review?

I thought this was what the "30 day" review with no rolling reserve was for. I got the generic review notice, doesn't actually say 30 days but damn a percentage even of the money im making for now would be a lot better than nothing

When an account is under review nobody gets anything until after the review is finished.

bboard 02-21-2013 05:33 PM

Do most people here end up passing the review at the end of 30 days

... or get the dreaded "Failed Seller Review" & account deletion

There is no real way of knowing. I passed my last review but others claim to have been unfairly suspended after this. The most important thing is to get as much supporting feedback as possible. Do everything you can to avoid a-z claims and don't cancel any orders unless its cancelled on the buyers behalf. If you do all that then you have a good chance of passing but there is no guarantee.

I would limit my exposure to amazon banning your account and try not to sell too much in this period, as tempting as it is to go with the sales.

If its a rolling reserve as amazon seem to be implementing then you will get some money disbursed
