Default Public computers & Amazon sellers account

Hey,

Can I use public computers to create a new Amazon sellers account or to log in with a new sellers account?

So are public computers safe, do they change their IP address, do they have a different code or something so websites can see the difference between a personal computer and a public computer?

There is definitely a chance of linkage by using a public computer because you don't know the amount of previous amazon user's logged into their accounts using the same ip address. Generally, public computers do not change their ip address so you're definitely taking a shot.

I've had good and bad luck personally with that.

Thanks for your reply.

I got banned from Amazon shortly after I logged in on a public computer (university). There are 27,000 students + personnel & teachers on the university (divided over different locations, but this was by far the biggest location), so that was a very stupid thing to do. Especially since there are a lot of (international) business schools & courses.

Another reason could be that I canceled 8 of my orders in a row (by accident, I know, very stupid) .

But I live in a small town and we have a gaming hall. It doesn't have many visitors and 90% of the visitors are only there to play a Call of Duty game or Battlefield 3. So I'll take my chances on that one .

WASTE of time using public computers - just the chance that someone has already tried it is enough to avoid it. AZ really plays a hard game.

No...

Amazon likes to think of their sellers as Professionals, and as a professional seller, one would never use a public computer or public access point.

I disagree, Universities are some of the best places to access your account. I've accessed banned and new accounts and have had no problems at all...just my expierience

Hello,

This is not recommended. You never know who will log onto that computer, that has been infected with your amazon "spys".

You can do well, but then get shut down

Really not that difficult to use your own computer to make accounts, why risk it?

I never use public computers, how do you know that someone with blocked account was using it?

From my experience Amazon doesn't link accounts by IP or cookies the way EB does. I use the same PC from my home on my new stealth acct that I was using for my suspended acct about a year now with no problems. But as they say... your mileage may vary.

I'm Back. Obviously this is one of the biggest things to avoid, when it comes to online selling.

Ya, Amazon will link you in a variety of ways that you may not think of, or think is a big deal. For a long term solution you will want 100% fresh new everythang.
