amazon buyer issues: How to resolve them

Here's the story:

A few days ago I couldn't log into my account (buyer account only). I contacted customer support and they said there is some issue with the
billing address and that an account specialist will contact me, later on I received this message:

Thank you for contacting us at Amazon.com.

As previously requested, please fax us a copy of a recent credit card billing statement to 206-266-1838 (from within the US) or 001-206-266-1838 (internationally), confirming the name, address, and telephone number associated with the credit card presented for your order(s).

To ensure that your fax is processed in the most timely manner, please be sure it includes the email address used when placing your order, and/or the order number you received in your email confirmation.

Please note that your Amazon.com account and order will remain on hold pending receipt of this fax. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Feel free to contact us should you have any questions or concerns, and thank you for your interest in shopping at Amazon.com.

Sincerely,

Account Specialist
Amazon.com

I was not told which order they were referring to and which credit card statement they want (I have more than 1 on file) - I also tried send a fax and the fax number isn't working!!!!

Every time I try contacting them about they keep sending the same reply to my email - completely ignoring what I wrote before.

I still have an Amazon gift card balance of $100 on my account which I can now forget about seeing.

Any advice?

Thread titles like that are not in order. It's not proven yet your money is gone.

Been heaps of issues with overseas buyers this past month regarding credit cards & holding orders.

What have you done to find the correct fax number? Anything?
On your 1st notice what info was there? Can you work out from that which card is the issue?

Or, can you go thro' your recent buying history to determine what might be on hold?

There will be info somewhere

:spy:
