Amazon New Set Up Process
 

Hello Everyone,

Amazon has a new set up process for accounts.

They require tax information immediately.

not on single selling accounts. But it will probsbly hurt them in the long run sellers will go elsewhere. My opinion.

I did it on a Professional Account.

Been mentioned for the past 5 weeks.

I created a personal account about a week ago and sold 2 items for less then $2 and got... please provide tax info notice, crazy :confused:

Did you get near 200 sales or 20K in sales.

barely got over 10 bucks! I listed a cheap item, quantity of two. It got sold within an hour (I didn't know the it was such a hot item lol). Now got a notice to provide the tax info. Account is still good , not blocked. But i'm not selling anything else on it right now.

I haven't started any amazon accounts up yet. I will see what happens but if they start asking for info on non pro merchant accounts right away this will be the end of third party selling on amazon.sellers will venture off the platform for sure.

Time for me to retest the platform then too hmm

Account is still active but has that stupid yellow bar on top saying to provide tax info. I will leave it like that for another week or so and then will try to list something else.

This is a very important topic.
I created a stealth acct last yr 2012, I think around November near the end of 2012, I do not think I was ever asked to immediately provide tax info...
what the hell? is this a new thing for all new accounts on amaz0n?

so provide Tax ID, they are not asking for your Social Security

Update for the stealth amaz0 n created late 2012, although its a personal acct not pro business acct i am still not being required to submit any tax info, TIN or SSN. And its been over 50 items sold.
Is everybody else getting this new message from amaz0 n to immediately submit tax info ?

Well, I was going to get a vcc for them but forget it. I'll just buy two for ioffer
