What does Amazon Check on the Credit Card thats on File?
 

Bought the book. Been running for 14 months great. Heres My problem I set the account up with my friends credit card.

We were going to do these together he bailed but his credit card and address is still listed.

Home can I change this ? Also I have sent the Tax ID # they said they could not verify the first one so I sent another both are real.

How can I fix the credit card? I been getting paid on a account now card with no problem .Thanks for your help.

You could leave it like that.. Amazon doesnt charge the card anything. They just want to make sure the card is valid and have funds on it.

If you change the card most likely you will lose the account. This happened in the past on a few accounts that were in good standing. why? makes no sense to me.

If you change the card and use a new name ... you might lose the account because Amazon might assume you are now a new person (who has been banned before) trying to take over the account

To bubba68, if you are going the change the card I suggest you keep the same name (whatever the name of the orignial card was) ... but if you must switch names then try to keep the same address

Use a prepaid gift card and insert that into Amazon and you should be fine ...

And another reason comes out on why not to use friends info...oh well.

You can simply pop in a new card - thats not a big issue. Register it to the address on Az.

When tax id season comes...another issue altogether

Sounds like I could let it ride for now. Its never had a charge on it . So if I were to do a prepaid card what type is there one that does not need a social security number and if I use his address Wont the card go to him?

I do not mind paying taxes. As Said I have sent EIN info. So i may just let it ride for now And if they verify the EIN change the card to a business name my thinking is His home address and the business address are different. thanks for all the replys. The book was well worth 10 times what I paid . I am getting about $500 every 2 week since I opened this account its been a hugh life saver.

I kept the same name but account was suspended after changing card.

Is there a need to change it? Havent I read Amazon likes to try the card out every now and then? I just realized I no longer have the card on file with amazon because I lost it and was issued a new card...

Anyone else get suspended after changing the card? I need to change the card on file. It will be the same name and address but im a little concerned now?

Ive just updated mine last night. No problems so far and ive sold 5 items since. I dont even see a pending 1$ charge from amazon.
