Amazon Processing Returns on Suspended Acct on OLD Orders
Hi, I'm not new here by any means, just can't figure out my old email address or password for my old aspkin account =(
So no need to treat me like a new kid or anything. Btw, I am sad to see some of the regulars disappearing off the forums over the last couple months. Jeff I'm looking at you too bro! hah
Anyway, my Amazon account was suspended back in May, but they have been processing returns all the way through December. I think that THEY think that as long as it's not coming out of their pockets, they may as well keep the customer as happy as possible. Most of these returns were on FBA items, so the process has been a little bit more automated than I would like.
Now as far as I understood, customers can do returns up to 30 days after the receiving date for the order. But Amazon is just handing out return money like candy. For the first 90 days after suspension it was coming out of the reserve money, after that it was coming off my debit card. It wasn't apparent to me that they were doing this on my debit card for some time because I was also calling back FBA inventory at the same time (which costs $.50 per item).
They have now taken around $3,700 in returns since 30 days post suspension. So for the question... do they really have the right to do this? I wouldn't mind paying a lawyer $500 to get back that $3,700. We all know how quickly Amazon folds when served any sort of legal documents (well some of us do I'm sure).
