Invalid tax information
 

Hi guys, I got problem with amazon, I gave them my real ssn but 1 or 2 weeks later the message invalid info popup on my seller page. It says that I need update new info within 30 days. something like not math with the IRS record. lol but that's my ssn. :hail:

I have 2 acc both are selling over 1 year.
1st acc: real name + SSN with my current address.
2nd acc: my brother real name + SSN with UPS address. (I lived with him so need separated add).

But both are shows invalid tax ID information. I really dont know what is going on. anyone got same problem?

Also do we need to change the address on ssn when we are moving? I just know change the address on the driver licence, but never hear about change the address on ssn. I just afraid amazon even need math the address.

on one of my accounts the same problem with Tax ID, I register Tax ID on the address that I gave to Amazon, I know that Tax IDs take 2 weeks to get into the system, may be the problem is when Amazon checks my Tax ID, it's not in the system yet?

I have the EIN also but it's for backup in case my current acc get blocked.

Well you already provided them your SSN, so dont provide your EIN quite yet. Make sure everything is you full legal name. If you have issues and nothing to worry about call them.

I am going to open a third acc so will not give them my EIN. I dont know what the problem is when I give them exactly the name and ssn on my card, but it still says invalid.

Could be a dash missing, or misspelled address link, some little error. Such as your real name Jamie-Donn, instead you put Jamie Donn.

They are all correct as the one show on ssn card. I contacted seller support and they said that someone on their tax department will call me but 2 days and there is no one.

You can get a free SSN check from your local SSN office. You would need ID etc.

It may be that amazon have made an error with the data or you have. The info must match 100% to be accepted.

The brother's SSN & address may be the basis of these issues. Be ready for that.
