Got new account in 2007, Now they want tax ID,

Have an EIN but it still wants my actual name....

If I put in my actual name it will trigger the old.

What do I do so that I don't have to enter my real name as part of the EIN

What you are saying is making no sense. I provided my EIN to az without any troubles. Why would they still want your rname when you are using an EIN

It's the questions on the az tax wizard. I set up the EIN as a sole proprietor, so the first info is My name, then the buis name, so If I go and use the AZ tax wizard, it wants My name, then the DBA name.

I've tried just using the DBA in the different fields but every few weeks or so I get the notice from AZ that the IRS records do not match the info I gave.

If I give my real name in that info, I will be affiliated with the account closed in 2006.

Was thinking of getting an EIN for a partnership or LLC to get around this prob. But figured I'd ask for advice here first.
