3v visa vouchers in the UK?

Do they exist? I cant find any shops that have heard of it. Someone even searched through their paypoint machine but it wasn't even on there.
Somewhat confused.

Yeah they exist, the only problem is that the staff in shops don't know about them.

Your best bet is go into a larger chains such as the Co-op where they operate their paypoint systems from a touch screen till. When you ask them for a 3V voucher and they will look back at you with a blank expresion and say "did you mean 3g?" tell them its listed under e-money on the till.

The minimum voucher ammount is £20 and their is a £2 charge for using the service.

Just went to the local shop and the guy looked up (and found) 3v on his paypoint machine.

The voucher was successful but the expiry date is in 2 months.

Do I have to purchase a voucher every 2 months to update the (ghost) account?

The £20 on the voucher, what happens to that? (the registered address is a ghost address so online purchases are a no-go).

All replies gratefully received (i have searched endlessly for info, and bought the book, its just the ccard validation where i'm struggling).

Once you have used the voucher you can change the registered address on the 3v site and spend the remaining balance, or like I do use to to open a stealth eBay first

But using it for amazon this makes it useless. They will randomly test the card to check that it is still active and that there are funds on it.

ok just a lil bit of advice

go to this website paypoint kiosk locator

enter your home post code

you will see a list of local stores which have the paypoint kiosk

google to get their telephone number

ring them and ask them to check they do 3v gift vouchers on the paypoint machine

they do although some say they dont because they have never been asked

always better to ring them up as they are more inclined to check, when in shop they may be busy or just cant be bothered to mess about on the machine to check

make sure they understand that it is a 3v gift voucher and not three mobile network top up voucher...it happens

the vouchers start at £20, go up in £10 amounts and the most you can buy is £150 a time

and their is always a £2 fee for the voucher

you want £150, it will cost £152 total

From £100 voucher onwards, the fee goes up to £3.50. So it would be £103.50 for £100.

I'm beginning to think the 3v Gift CARD would be better than the voucher (12 month exp).

It is for that reason as well as being effectively free... you pay £25 and get £25. But they are not common.

Perhaps I can keep on selling past the voucher expiry date. When a (random?) ccard check is done (and limits the account), I just buy another voucher. Of course if the ccard check automatically happens immediately after the expiry date, that’s a lot of vouchers.

You can get £25 and £50 prepay visa cards from tesco in store. there is info on their banking website pages. Activate the card online and they last for 2 years. There is a £2.75 fee for the small one not sure about the big one.

Correct, basically when your register your first card online, you simply relog back into tat "account" and add a new card number.
