Pro account did not ask for Tax info!
 

I opened my account as just a buyer, opened a regular seller account and then today I changed it to Pro to sell some items. I was surprised that when I upgraded that they didn't ask for tax info. From what I read here on the forum I thought they ask for it right away? Did I buy more time because I started with a regular seller account? Has anyone here gone a long time with a Pro account without being asked for tax info?

If I would have signed up for Pro right away would it have asked for it right away? It's a good thing because if I do not pass the review or get my account deleted, I won't have to waste an EIN

I opened an account in around October (that lasted for 2-3 months) and wasn't asked for tax info either. Unfortunately I accidentally opened third party software on an old laptop and my account was shutdown. Just last week I opened a new account and was immediately asked for tax info. It seems they are random when deciding when to ask for tax info.

What did you open that would have got you suspended?

When you opened the new account did you open the seller account as Pro right away?
