Amazon account health on fair.

Question,

If your order defect rate or account health goes on FAIR status, will you be suspended?

Two days ago I received an a-z on an order which for apparent reason also got delivered after she palced the A-z WITH AMAZON, (1/8); ODR is at 12.5% right now and it took two full days 'til today Saturday to show up on my performance page.

As a result, I gave her a full refund and called her right after, which she claimed she received the order right after submitting the complaint with Amazon, (complaint titled "items not received") - Therefore, she decided to call Amazon about it, and see they could do anything. I explain to her that over the years of using Amazon, they will not remove the a-z claim and this will defect my performance and it was final so on..

Will this account be okay, or am I being reviewed as we speak? Will this account be suspended?

**I have had this problem numerous times. does anyone else think the 1% defect rule on Amazon is way too strict?? I have had many bogus A to Z claims filed by uber-sensitive buyers and it can easily kill your account.
I would email Amazon ASAP and also follow-up with an email very politely. they keep records of all your correspondence. Then you probably have a certain window of time to get up your seller score.

Make sure to read the message and your account will go back to normal. And then dont make the same mistake twice.

There is no reason to ever worry about defect rate if you sell a low risk product just to build up your orders. I have an item that I sell about 200-300 orders per week. I don't make barely anything on the item but it keeps my ODR very low.

Batman how's Amazon working out for you? I haven't tried it out yet, but planning to get started next week...

barrycruan 02-24-2013 01:32 AM

Odr over 2% will normally get you suspended. I've no idea how you still have an account

amazon is a waste of time right now to try and make any type of money..

Gamefreak 02-24-2013 02:14 AM

Amazon usually gives you 30 days to fix any problems with the account. If you dont you can expect a suspension after 30 days or so..

I am making loads of AZ accounts, real and ghost. Just spread your sales around to stay safe

its going good but only thing i hate is that not many buyers leave feedback

hercheys 02-24-2013 12:53 PM

Update: account is still active, sold ship now emails coming in, new feedback started to come in, about 5 today alone.

My seller rating went to (zero) right after receiving the claim, now back at .78, account health still says FAIR condition.

Buyer never contacted amazon and now she has a free kindle fire ($189 worth), plus the monies, and I'm stuck with some a-z claim (resolved of-course), I ask for feedback but buyer is non-respondent, but what goes around, comes around.

Did not email or called Amazon myself, from experience this will not chage the fact I got an a-z, never gotten one on this account, time to move on.

Make new accounts and spread sales. How your account is still alive may be due to its life...still work hard on getting the ODR % lowered...pronto

Hi Kelly,

just a quick question, what items do you sell to keep your ODR low? I've been doing the same, but it's hard to find an item that sells in those quantities, I don't care to make money, I would gladly even lose a bit on it :)

I look for items that sell for about $5 that you can send to FBA. if they are ranked in the top 100 of thier sub category you should have no problem generating 50-300 orders a week. Things like batteries, cables etc....

Even to break even with the FBA fees, you'd have to be getting a $5 item at a buck or less.

The items I use cost about $1.49 and I make about 30 cents on them. I label them to save 20 cents or I send them in as commingled.
