Amazon Ghost modem/router question

Sorry if this is a question that is covered all the time but i have a modem/router from my broadband provider. I was wondering if i could just plug another router into that and just do amazon ghost that way? Will that work to change the MAC since the router will be the MAC that Amazon sees rather than the MAC on the modem/router? Thanks in advance.
