i think amazon are trying to catch me out so has this happened to you
 

hi everybody
ive never used amazon before at all to sell on so i thought id give it ago.
its all legit and above board and i got my first sale a few days ago.
so i was very happy lol
so i decided to just list more and more items since its free for 3 months.

then i got a message from a buyer asking for pictures of 1 of my items and too send it too there personal email address.

i emailed them back from my email address and when i asked what pictures they would like here is there response.

Ok,get back to me with the link of the item also the name that you use to put the item on amazon.co.uk site asap so that i can be able to make the payment for you asap hope to hear from you soon

notice it doesnt mention anything about pictures etc and they cant remember what item they were asking about?

so i thought very strange?

then today i got another message of another buyer asking to send them some details about 1 of my items to there email address.

when i asked what details they were after i got two responces.
1 was

NOTICE HOW ITS EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE LAST MESSAGE.

I THOUGHT ID LET YOU KNOW AS I THINK THIS IS A TRICK TO CATCH YOU OUT.

then the other response was
a phone number to ring them on which when i rang it its a number that forwards your call on too a automated voicemail.


CHECK YOUR MESSAGES AND IF YOU HAVE HAD THIS MESSAGE AND THEN GOT SUSPENDED THIS MIGHT BE THE REASON.

Sounds more like a scammer TBH, amazon have better things to do than this

Ae you selling mobile phones by any chance? Sounds like a Nigerian scammer

i know all about the nigerian scam somebody tried it twice when i first started on ebay so i knew what to look out for.
they targetted me because i had no feedback and thought i was new to ebay.
how wrong could they be lol.
anyway the second time they tried it i thought id have some fun with them and give them may bank details and address on there dodgy paypal page
i think i give them
name donald duck
address disney land
69 down the back alley with a prostitute
ne1 lld0 (ie anyone will do)
bank details (more or less the same as name and address)
email was goandscrewyourselfscammer@yahoo.co.uk and when i entered all the details it took me to a build your own website page.

apart from all that then no im not selling phones i sell brand new looking sony psp consoles with 12.000 retro games and 40 psp games on a 32gb memory card. for #100
at xmas time i was making a fortune and thats why ebay shut me down coz my sales just went mental.

ISo did amazon actually close you down or are you just warning about a possible scammer?

Call me paranoid but I think amazon does fish out sellers this way... When I was new to amazon I got a message about a used item, if I would sell it using paypal and take less for it...It was a 50$ item so I said ok...I never got a response and 2 weeks later I got a policy warning on amazon saying I tried to make a sale outside of amazon.

I continually get strange messages like this, I know not to respond to them now and haven't had a problem yet :)

Im sure some of them can be scammers, but I would advise guys on this board not to respond to messages asking to sell outside of amazon :)
