Use details from a blocked account

I'm wanting to use a business address what was used on a previously block Amazon account for the return address on a new account. Could Amazon still link my new account with the blocked account?

On the blocked account I used say username@domain.com and was wanting to use new_username@domain.com with the new account. The email is from my own website and not any free email providers like Yahoo. Could Amazon tell if I've had a suspended account by comparing the @domain.com part of the email address?

and the answer is....... YES!

Return address & Email domain will more than likely trip a link.

Unless it's a popular email domain like @gmail.com or @yahoo.com I think it will trip a link. You might be able to get away with it, such as if it's a company domain that hundreds of people will have, it would make sense that the same domain can be used by two separate people, but it's far better to play it safe, in my opinion. Amazon doesn't mess around. Neither does eBay but Amazon's account-linking technology is far more advanced.

I would also think yes but if it`s just the domain name being the same but all registration info is different, it could pass.

Think it should be tested and confirmed for experimentation. Again: emphasize ALL registration info is different not reusing old business address

Is it essential to use your companies domain name in the e-mail address? If not, don't risk it. Also, RSOT is right, you would also need to use different information for the physical address, telephone number, name. etc..

How could Amazon programmatically tell if the email is a company domain or a free email provider? Is there a way for them to check up?

I did not know about the linked account. After my first account is banned, I opened two more accounts with different name's cc info (the cc is not my name) and billing address and these account was suspended again of course.

Does anyone know if all info of the linked account, such as the cc info and billing address will be stored? If I am opening a stealth account, can I use re-use those cc and billing address (not my name) again?

I have used return addresses that were my account address on a previous banned account and it has not been linked.

Why is it so important to use such a similar kind of e-mail address? Buyers dont see e-mail address on Amazon...

How so? As a return address on the shipping label of items you were fulfilling? Or for items requesting removal order from FBA? You didn't put this as your return address in your profile?

Don't understand?????

Kelly441 04-14-2013 11:37 AM

I may have screwed up and sent a message from a banned account email. My postage software sent it when sending a return label and I didn't realize I need to go into the settings and change the from email. If I am linked by email how soon should I expect my account to get suspended?

It means that regardless of your e-mail for registration...buyers cannot e-mail you directly - you send e-mail through the AZ system.
