Passed review. Now what?

I wanted to share my experience with one of my stealth accounts. I ignored the $750 gross limit in the first month since people say that is a myth. I have had my account open for about a month and have grossed about $7000. The two items I am selling are very low risk for being phakes. My account went into review about three days ago. Last night, I sent them information that they said could speed the review process. This morning I got an email;

"Hello from Amazon.

We are writing to let you know that we have removed the temporary hold on funds in your seller account. The available balance will disburse on your next scheduled settlement date.

We appreciate your patience while we evaluated your account.

Regards,

Seller Performance Team
Amazon.com"

Is this unusual to pass the review so quickly?
I know there are many factors and each account is different. Can I start selling more low risk items in the same category? I think I can double or triple my gross profit.

Thats the email you are looking for. Amazon is VERY fast in responding to emails in my experience and yes you can now double or triple your selling.

I never got any luck when appeal the review (cause I got suspend less then an hour to couple of my accounts). Now if it under review I just slow it down and move item to different account and wait 30 days

I told them in the review questionnaire that I would be grossing up to $50,000. So I take it if I have passed the review and I sell under that I should be OK. Assuming of course that nothing else triggers a review like ODR etc..

I would say you got lucky. Never heard anything good come of people sending in info to amazon. Normally just wait out the month. The limit won't be 50k however. You will get multiple reviews on the way to that amount

Probably because people give real information instead of telling them what they want to hear.

It helps to tell Amazon how you will worship them and kiss their butt to give good customer service.

You have to look like you are already have a successful business. Make stuff up and be detailed about answering their questions. Give sources to reputable companies that sell the products you sell. Give your tax id too.

Kelly141, absolutely correct, amazon are God and you have to worship them.

Good mentoring advice there.

Have to say for the vast majority its a very very bad idea to send amazon info when in review, unless you really cant wait out the month. This is one of the only cases where people have been successful and not lost the account.

Kelly you seen to have a sized decent business and so you have the contacts and knowledge to keep amazon happy. For all of the new starters, just look around and find all the people who cant understand why amazon suspended them the same day when they appealed a review.

Kelly441 04-02-2013 10:58 AM

I had the same success with my original account that was suspended. I think it's just a matter of giving them the information they want to hear. Laying out a complete business plan to them would be a great idea. I think if people are selling risky items and not elaborating on the questionnaire they will deny the appeal.

I will do a new post so people that have passed a review appeal can share how they did it.

GreenBean 04-03-2013 04:26 AM

In no way is it a given that such tactics will work for all users.

It's a matter of dealing with a review on an individual case.

Again saying too much in open forum is counter productive.

Think of that
