IP address question with a legit account and suspended

Hello,

My and partner started selling on Amazon with 2 different accounts. We were selling different items but are in the same categories. We were both Amazon newbies and didnt think much of it. Both accounts are legit real accounts with our real info. We both use different computers and always login only to our own computers.

Nothing is the same (even address) but we both login using our home wifi. My account got suspended for legit reasons, i surpassed all my reviews but violated TOS. My partner passed a review in the early stages for operating multiple seller accounts.

They gave info to Amazon and they accepted as they are diff account holders. Its coming soon that my partner will reach the $20k gross sales and im wondering if they will pass this review since i still login to Amazon with my suspended account on the same wifi that my partner uses to login to their full active legit account.

Obviously diff mac addresses but the same ip.

ip is the only thing that matters, not mac. If your friend is still active why are you using the same ip to log in. Amazon might not link it since you sorted this out at the start but there is always a chance with them and its not worth taking for the sake of changing an ip address.

I've used multiple accounts on the same IP (some banned, some not) so I know it is possible, but never the same computer. NEVER. Instant link. I imagine they can link you by IP as well but probably don't all the time. I know for a fact my entire college campus (20,000 students) has the same IP. Lol that would be funny if they banned the whole campus! Although thinking about it that wouldn't surprise me if they did do that.

^^^ Same IP is not the end of the world...But if they have another link to link you both then if one goes down they both go down.

How long have your accounts been in existence now? If Az is letting you both operate, seems like you doing well on the risk side until your account went down...the other account could possibly follow but can never be 100% sure - Az can be rough though.

Ok good to know. Would it be a good idea to reset the ip in the house and never login to my suspended amazon seller account on the suspended computer again. I do sometimes buy items with my suspended seller account. I also login quite often to check out things on amazon. But if thats something that might link to the other account, i would definitely stop it. Seems like i should do that regardless. The suspended account was doing quite well compared to the my partners active account. But now since im helping my partner out alot with their account we are getting very good sales. We have limited our risk greatly for any violations of tos. Also, how do you know when your account goes into review? When do they do a review for the $20k mark? Is it $20k for the accounts lifespan or $20k for Jan throught Dec.

Thanks for all the help

Ideally you should try to avoid doing anything to endanger your partner's account.

One of the first principles of stealth. Try to avoid linking.

Danger word that, link.

Better idea would be to understand the ghost guide and set up new unlinked accounts

I agree with rsot.

Your position is a bit tricky. You need to learn to protect that other account.

amazon is not very forgiving ever.
