Are fewer accounts getting suspended

Hey gang, i've noticed that there are tons more newer accounts competing with me, has anybody else noticed this?

I had a record first 3 months of 2013, sold nearly 70k, had high margins because of fewer competitors, last 3 weeks I had to slash my prices to compete, My one big item used to have 4 or 5 sellers, now its ballooned to 20-25 sellers

My main account just had its 2nd anniversary, and is still going strong, my secondary account is about 4 months old, is in a high risk category with sales of about $3,000 over 4 months,it has not even been reviewed yet. I cant figure out why it has not been at least reviewed once.

any opinions of either of my 2 thoughts?

Where was I complaining? I was asking if anyone had noticed more new accounts. None of the replies addressed the question.

Always new accounts opening up - activity would depend on category popularity too

You got opinions.....

Re-read them.

OP is right on both points.....

I do see a lott of new accounts, and I dont think they are suspending accounts as much as they were last year..

I just sold close to $1000 worth of stuff (two ipads) on a new account, still didn't get reviewed

Just before christmas in the annual kill of a lot of accounts got hit. They seem to take a step back early in the year but no doubt they will crack down soon enough. On one of my items the competition is at 38%, 68% and 85% yet they are still going strong.

amazon might just be luring them in and then will delete and keep funds

And then Amazon will be like.. hmm, how should we pay for this punishment? Oh I know, let's increase sellers' commission rates across the board! That'll teach 'em.
