| zoneout | 04-09-2013 05:05 AM | Messaging under 24 hours Response Time Metric So a freakin buyer on AZ sends me 5 messages at the same time to cancel a transaction at 6 AM. That day my relatives fly in from the UK and we spend the day out with them. Next day at 9 AM I check my AZ account and I have a big red X for customer response time metric cause I didnt see these 5 messages all asking me the same question and its been over 24 hours.
Is there some way to auto-answer these questions so I dont get screwed like this again? |

either way fast responses can sometimes get sales....have your phone hooked up to your email so you can answer questions and be proactive about your account... |
| TonyAlmeida | 04-09-2013 07:27 AM | Use Gmail and set canned respond it those email
For now, on each of the message check the box that said "Mark as no respond needed" and it won't count Quote:

| HunterStudios | 04-09-2013 10:09 AM | Definitely do what TonyAlmeida said, the No response needed box is a life saver for buyers like this. |
| Speeder33 | 04-09-2013 02:53 PM | its not bad enough for a buyer to email you 5 times but now it also counts against you, sigh, selling online can be stressful |

Agree.
5 times is a bit over doing it. Buyers know you have a life also but dont care. |
| Ukdirect | 04-09-2013 05:14 PM | The worst thing is when you sort out a buyers enquiry and you miss a thank you email from them which counts against you |
| Gamefreak | 04-09-2013 09:15 PM | I get these a lot. I rarely log into my amazon account other than to request deposit.
I have everything forwarded to my phone and when I get emails like this I just put will cancel during regular business hours or just put anything to keep those metrics up. |
| MICKY H | 04-10-2013 06:39 AM | These metrics on e mail response time if you read carefully don't count against you, same as delivery time. |
| Kelly441 | 04-10-2013 11:46 AM | I setup an auto reply and Amazon knows that it is an auto reply. You still have to respond. You should have check marked "response not necessary" on four of them |
| TonyAlmeida | 04-10-2013 01:31 PM | What email are you using? Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail????
How do they know and what they said?
Thank you Quote:

| Kelly441 | 04-10-2013 02:11 PM | Can't tell you how they know. I know for sure they do because I have answered back over 24 hrs with the auto and it said I was over. I used hotmail on that account. I have not tried to setup an auto reply on Gmail yet |

Unfortunately I responded to one of them and AZ takes that as a response to all of them. So right after I responded to one the other 4 no longer had the check box for no response needed. :faint:
BTW, Sunday is a business day for purposes of responding to emails. You get dinged if you decide to turn off your PC for the weekend. But this is progress so we are told. |

------------------------------------
Does my e-mail's auto-responder for new messages count as a response?
No. If your e-mail service automatically sends an acknowledgement upon receiving a message, we do not count that auto-reply as a response.

| AmazonStealth | 04-10-2013 11:29 PM | I had a buyer one time email me 32 times in 24 hours. The item was like $20. wtf |

No. If your e-mail service automatically sends an acknowledgement upon receiving a message, we do not count that auto-reply as a response.
----------------------------------- | Is the message tagged that its auto responded? If not I would guess amazon tracks it by response time and to fix that use outlook and only can scan for emails after few hours. |
| MICKY H | 04-11-2013 08:00 AM | You can only answer through amazon, not hotmail, google etc |

That's correct. However, I would make sure that you turn off any plugin from automatically loading when you open an email form Amazon. |
