Amazon account on hold

Hi,

One of my amazon accounts is on hold. It's new account (two weeks old) and I've been using the account for selling only.

I sold 4 items and then for the last item I sold I couldn't log into my account to get the shipping info. It says "There was an error with your email/password combination. Please try again." At first I thought I forgot my password but when I tried to reset my password I got an error saying that "We could not find an Amazon.ca or Amazon.com seller account associated with the e-mail address provided." I called Amazon and they said my account is on hold and they will reply within 24 hours.

It's been 4 days and still got no reply. They also said it's my billing information that are missing or incomplete. It is a stealth account with new IP address, new computer, phone and address so I don't think it was linked to any of my other accounts. I used a vcc and my real bank account as a deposit method.

Does anyone experienced something similar?

Freakzilla 05-08-2013 08:58 AM

It sounds like your account has been linked and deleted.

bakica 05-08-2013 09:07 AM

Does it mean I have lost all the money on the account or I will be able to get the money after 90 days?

Freakzilla 05-08-2013 09:11 AM

If it's been deleted you won't get your money I'm afraid.

bakica 05-08-2013 10:05 AM

but when I called they said the account is on hold. And I haven't done anything suspicious. I sold low risk items and I only sold 4 items. Any help guys?

kockedoff 05-08-2013 10:06 AM

I there a way to get funds on deleted accounts ? I have seems in past people have done this successfully

bakica 05-08-2013 10:08 AM

Anyone knows how?

barrycruan 05-08-2013 12:21 PM

You can get funds from a deleted account but its a pain. What items were you selling and what value? sometimes you are deleted because you are linked and sometimes its just because you are deemed high risk

rsot 05-08-2013 01:39 PM

Sadly you wont be able to get your funds easily...if at all. Few people have tried e-mailing - success rate is low. It's a big uphill climb for you - sorry to say but it has happened to many of us :(

There is no 100% way that works to get the funds - or if there is, I am not in the know of it.

bakica 05-08-2013 05:07 PM

hmm, I'm pretty sure my account wasn't linked. Also I only sold three different Computer hard drives, which I shipped myself and I know they were all brand new and everything was fine with the orders. What is strange is that I sold only 3 items, around $80 each. That's why I was wondering if all of this could happened because of the vcc I used to verify my amazon account. They said they are trying to verify my billing information. What do you think?

Next time use a Vanilla Visa $25 gift card and register your zip code online.

bakica 05-08-2013 06:20 PM

sure, there is nothing I can do. I'm just trying to find out the reason why my account was deleted so it wont repeat in future.

On here you put USA as your flag.

Appears not to be correct. Changed to the right flag. Leave it as it is now.

amazon have detected this as well if you were using certain methods to access their system.

Your account is gone.

I feel like the biggest cause for deletion is selling in a different country (esp china etc)

I have 4 good accounts and I logged into 2 while in china without vps (stupid stupid move) and boom, deleted

The other 2 were fine

bakica 05-08-2013 07:09 PM

I use vps everytime I log in to my account. I'm running couple of amazon acc, they are all good except for this one. I don't think that's the problem

GreenBean 05-08-2013 07:10 PM

It IS the problem.

We get enough reports of deleted amazon accounts.

Overseas users with VPS are HIGH on the list of getting accounts deleted.

Stop thinking otherwise.

bakica 05-08-2013 07:15 PM

what do you suggest then? I can't open amazon acc in my country. Should I use my real ip?

Speeder33 05-08-2013 10:53 PM

no no no, don't use the real ip, thats the worst possible move you could do

honestly, if you could do it, i would suggest sticking/moving over to ebay since they are much less advanced tech wise, amazon can and will keep looking for vps users and delete them, if you feel like it is worth the risk then I wish you the best of luck

sorry, I don't mean to sound harsh but its the truth

bakica 05-09-2013 12:33 AM

Thank you guys so much

Please correct me if I'm wrong. How do you know if oversea users are using VPS. It could be US users are using it too! Since it's called VPS, everything should be private.
- I think his acct got deleted because he may used the same IP which has been BANNED on Amz before.

GreenBean 05-09-2013 01:39 AM

How is it going to be private if a user says I used a VPS to access amazon?

USA users have issues but more & more the overseas sellers are having grave problems.

I'm confused. I did a lot of research and read many posts on here that VPS was the way to go as long as you get VPS with multiple static IPs that you can change manually before logging into an account. Are you blaming VPS and saying it's bad just because the OP is using the same IP or is there some other reason not to use it?

If he didn't tell, who knows?
People who have issues because they don't know how to use the tricks, techniques..etc, and maybe they choose a wrong vps provider or they're unaware of using BANNED dynamic/static IPs from a pool. The more popular VPS, the less secured!

That's why I feel weird. I do have experience about whole this. I've been already running couple of amazon accounts for almost a year now without any issues. If the VPS was bad or I was doing something wrong all of the accounts would be gone by now. This is the first time (hopefully the last) and I really feel I want to know the reason why it happened.

The vcc you used - was it a one time use only? or can it survive Amazon's notorious test charges...

lolhippl 05-09-2013 04:23 PM

i have 3 friends that were able to bs their way out of being unbanned by amazon for things. just keep on messaging back and forth ull make it happen.

So in this case, I would say 95% you were using a Banned IP. According what you said, I think you know how to create a seller acct correctly. This is not the first time you run the seller account and I don't think you have problems with the billing address. So the only problem was the IP address.
