reasons why amazon delete accounts

Why dose Amazon delete accounts...?

I kinda want to get a list going here i.e.

Reasons:

Linking multiple counts
Incorrect credit card information

and so on

Kelly441 05-15-2013 09:28 PM

To deter people from creating stealth accounts.

Etycoon 05-15-2013 09:36 PM

Okay fair enough

But how do they know its stealth would using real details help..?

Etycoon 05-15-2013 09:37 PM

Linking two account that are both completely legit is supposedly not that big of a deal. To make a long story short.. if you have ever opened a non professional account and then upgraded to professional, there were still some platform aspects that remained the same (at least this was the case when I started my first account over 2 years ago), such as not being able to every change the shipping price on one of your items. Supposedly this was a big problem that Amazon was having trouble fixing (whatever). This could seem far-fetched to some sellers on here, but if you started up a non professional account at the time, you know exactly what I mean. Upon complaining about this to Amazon, they actually suggested that we make a new account. My response was, I don't want to lose my good reputation and feedback that I worked up to on this account. To which they replied, you can have both accounts running, but do not sell the same items on both accounts.

Technically, this makes sense. If you share the buybox with 3 other people, you would get roughly 25% of sales... but if you shared the buybox with 3 other people and yourself, you would get 40% of the sales. Clearly, this is the kind of abuse that Amazon was advising me against. It makes me wonder if your 2 legit accounts that were linked were selling the same items on the same listings... Otherwise, I'm still at a bit of a loss. Because when you say "Linking of Accounts" I generally think "Linking to old suspended accounts" as being the actual culprit. Maybe that is what you meant, I'm not sure.

  • Linked accounts
  • Being rude to customers
  • Not responding to customer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Selling counterfeits
  • Being rude to Amazon personnel
  • Slow shipping
  • Shoddy products
  • Excessive complaints and A-Z claims

Basically, Amazon is looking for professional sellers, not high school kids trying to make some money to buy their first jalopy.

If you conduct yourself in an unprofessional manner, you are gone. If you sell counterfeits, you are gone. If you are argumentative, refuse refunds or act like you belong in high school - regardless of your age - you are gone.

its one thing to suspend, another to delete

getting caught with a vpn is a big deletion factor though

If you have to ask this question, there is some problems with your understanding of Ghost process...never need to use real details
