For deleted accounts, my own experiences have been no luck :( lost some money, learnt some things and moved on.

I tried Customer Service. I tried Better Business Bureau. I have not tried legal action but accounts were stealth...did not even have access to address. Might revisit those accounts in a few weeks when time permits

Such a hassle not getting anything clear from Amazon about it - jsut silent treatment

i think they wont give your money back if your accoutn was deleted because of multiple accoutn usage, to teach you a lesson

my case was different. they deleted mine because i was refunding too many people

I don't lose too many accounts, but I HAVE lost a couple to deletion and have never seen a single penny from them.

Same as quoted + some... LOL

When the account deletion first started about 2 years ago I lost MANY accounts.
The dollar sum was over $30,000.00
So as for deleted accounts..... POOF it is GONE.

Started legal action in Luxembourg, amazon Europe's tax haven and head office, writs issued, costs now over £20k, trying for £75k from deleted accounts. Amazon admit the debt but still no cash, but more lawyer fees. Gets to the point where you just give up, their pockets bottomless, mine are not, appeal, appeal appeal....

When Amazon deletes an account, in my experience, there are no warnings. One day, your logon simply stops working and that is that.

Amazon can do whatever they like UNLESS a court or the government decides otherwise. I would imagine that also applies in the UK. This whole thing has always struck me as a civil issue, not a criminal one.

Amazon would claim they could not verify who the funds belong to, so they did not release them for that reason. Or, they could claim the seller was pushing phakes, and they could turn the money over to the government.

Let's say I was holding $1,000 of your money and when you asked me for it, I refused to give it to you. Is that wrong? Of course. Is it illegal? Maybe.

But what are your options to force the issue? You would have to file a lawsuit against me. Or, if you felt I was doing this to a lot of people, you could report me to law enforcement and hope for some action that way.

Amazon is likely betting that people using stealth will not be so quick to complain to the authorities or to sue - since their activities may be called into question as well. And they are correct.

I am sorry to burst your bubble. amazon does nothing like this.

amazon does not return funds like you stated.

We have too many users here who have been waiting months for funds.

No refund has happened.

amazon holds the upper hand & plays to their rules.

Exactly - cant lose sleep over these amounts unless you want to deal with courts and trying for lawsuits...and on top of that STEALTH info...so double suck :(

From a suspended / blocked account based on the UK site yes. It took a few phone calls to them though.
