| Razzcal07 | 05-30-2013 01:20 PM | Too scared to go on new amazon account through iPad.... So, my account is now open and has been open for about 4-5 days now. Everything seems to be going ok. I have listed just a couple of very low value products to try and get a few sales and some feedback.
Now, what I'm worried about is accessing my account from my iPad. My new account was completely set up at my office. I have been on my old amazon account plenty of times from home on my iPad.
So can someone tell me, is there a mini guide somewhere that can help me make sure that my iPad is completely wiped and fresh, just like my computer?
Thanks in advance |
| Dmshark25 | 05-30-2013 01:22 PM | Did you purchase the Amazon Ghost guide though this forum it will tell u what u need to know |
| Razzcal07 | 05-30-2013 01:26 PM | I did however I don't recall reading much about accessing the account through an iPad, also the ebook is on my office computer, I'm at home on my iPad at the moment, was hoping to get started on it tonight. |
| Dmshark25 | 05-30-2013 01:33 PM | Yea with amazon I'm just operating my original account but I have many ebay stealths which work great using the guide. I'm not too sure about amazon but I think if u go to settings clear all cookies / browsing history and saved passwords and info and download a different browser that u used with the old account and of course new IP Than u should be ok, but I'd wait and see if anyone with more amazon experience agrees before takin my advice |
| Dmshark25 | 05-30-2013 01:35 PM | I know amazon uses browser fingerprinting so it's important to make sure you use a diff browser change screen resolution and IP |
| Razzcal07 | 05-30-2013 01:37 PM | Thanks for the info guys, I have no idea how to change IP address for an iPad, any ideas? I was thinking of just completely re booting my iPad? |
| Dmshark25 | 05-30-2013 01:54 PM | Go under settings and go to data and just click off wait few seconds than click on and than check it should be changed, or if u have a wireless router home go into ur router settings and change the MAC address and than reset the modem and router and u should be ok
Also turn ur ipad to wifi
I'm not too sure if u need to change MAC address with amazon so research that before going forward I know ebay doesn't check Mac |

You need to make sure you uninstall anything that links you to the old accounts.
Otherwise you may end up being linked again.
This is a time to be very careful.
In the below thread, MM78 gives the most helpful advice to make sure your access is 'clean'. Take a moment to read more of his posts as well. He clearly explains the specifics. http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ip-addr...tethering.html |
| Dmshark25 | 05-31-2013 02:30 PM | iPhone and ipad can be A very powerful tool for stealth if used correctly, I'd be lost without it, the iPhone manages organizes almost everything for me and simplifies almost 30 accounts into one, however if used wrong will destroy ur accounts. And never use the apps |

If you mean have I been on my new account from my iPad yet, no I haven't, I don't plan on doing so until I am 100% sure that the iPad is clean. |
| barrycruan | 05-31-2013 04:09 PM | ipads are great for stealth. Amazon do not use browser fingerprinting or mac addresses. All you have to do with an ipad is go to settings and clear all data for safari. check both options (cookies and all dadta) and once you hace a different ip address you are good to go. it sounds like you need to do some homework on what your ip address is tho. I have used my ipad for all amazon accounts and once you know what you are doing its very easy |
So no footprint on an iPhone either? What about using the email client to reply to messages? |

I unplugged my router for about 15 seconds, rep lugged it in and now my public I.P address ends in 151.246, I assume this means I have changed my IP address and I can now log on to my amazon account? |

Just make sure you stick with using safari to browse/ use amazon. Yep, if you unplug the router and then get a new ip when you switch it back on this means you have a dynamic ip which is best for stealth. If you have done all that then yes you are good to go. |

Have you read any posts by MM78 on iphones?
He makes an excellent suggestion of using ATOMIC WEB for this.
Makes it seem a user is on different browsers.
Any thoughts?

:ranger: | it depends on the user. Atomic would be good if you dont want to keep deleting all your browsing data from safari but I only use the iphone for one account at a time so I dont really have the need for ataomic.
As for answering emails through the email app on an iphone i have never really looked into this as I just answer them on amazon. I avoid all apps because there is a much greater risk of linking. |
| Dmshark25 | 06-02-2013 09:50 AM | The iPhone mail center works great as a centralized inbox to all accounts, you can read the messages know everything going on with all accounts and than just log into that specific account if needed of course with appropriate user I'd and IP. Just never click on any links or respond to emails through mail center on iPhone , but is great to know what's going on in each account |

Amazon are getting super strict with new accounts. One day your password will mysteriously stop working then you are done for. Also had accounts go under review despite being under the velocity limits.
I think they study very carefully what you are selling, and other factors, much more so than EBay. |
