When asked for card details: correct address to give?

Hi all,

Based on the Amazon UK site.

I have complete all of the registration process other than adding a credit card.

On the page they ask for the card details does the address you have given them earlier on in the registration process have to match with the card details? So basically will they check the card holders address?

I have a card I wish to use that had never been used on Amazon before, but is registered to an address used on an old account that was previous blocked.

Thanks in advance.

if you try and register a debit/credit card at an address other than where the debit/credit card is registered to it won't work.

Thanks mate.

If that's the case does anyone know the best provider to use in the UK to get a pre paid card from I can use for this section of the registration process.

Would I be right in presuming they only use the card for verification purposes and all fees like the £25 a month to sell on their etc are just deducted from the money you make from sales?

It's been a while since I've sold on Amazon so can't remember exactly how it works.

i don't use Amazon for selling, but Entropay is what most people use for EB/PP. i'm sure if you searched for Entropay in the Amazon section something will turn up.

I heard a rumour that with Amazon UK the address does not need to match?

No it does, otherwise it flags in their system.

Entropay does not work with Amazon UK but 3V (prepaid VCC) does which is what I use.

Make sure you have your stealth address for it and link it to the Card with 3V then you can use it for Amazon.

There is also CashPlus Mastercard but I find the fees are higher on these cards but does act as a full name and address card so make sure you can provide the stealth details so it matches your Amazon account.
