Tax ID review time
 

Okay So I have had an account up for about 6 weeks and it is doing very well. Increased my brick and mortar store sales by 20% so far.

Tax ID time. My questions is this. I have an EIN for Sole Prop. and I also have a EIN for my llc. I called to get a new EIN form the IRS and was told I already had one. I went ahead and updated this info to the new DBA I opened awhile. Changed the address and all other info to match the new DBA. I know that if I use this EIN again it will link even though everything has been changed to the new DBA.

To use my other EIN for my llc. do I need to change all the info with the IRS to match the DBA? Will amzn just verify the number as being good and a legit number. I do not see myself exceeding the $20,000 AND 200 transactions a year so there will be no need for them to report and supply a 1099-K.

Hi Gustopho, your question is a little hard for me to understand so I think my answer might be a little generic. As long as the EIN is valid, Amazon will take it and accept it immediately. They may verify that information later on with the IRS when it comes close to filing time. If they do, it is important for that information to be correct. It shouldn't be difficult to have your llc's info to be accurate and in order.. without the need to involve your dba info at all.
