Average Amazon Review Time?

I'm currently on my 27th day. :smash:

barrycruan 06-08-2013 07:15 PM

Ive never had one pass 29 days although some people say they have waited longer.

n8zzz 06-08-2013 07:34 PM

During my last review, about 6 days into the review process, I submitted a reply to the review. Basically I talked about current operations, how we have added a couple employees, how customer service and maintaining excellent metrics has always been our number 1 goal, our plans for the future growth of our business, and how we expect to handle this growth in a way that will keep our high seller performance high.

We were back to selling review free within 2 hours.

kuroneko44 06-09-2013 12:58 AM

In response to N8zzz; was this a new account or has this account been established. I'm afraid if I appeal they may suspend my account. I have shipped all my orders out either same day or next and and no complaints.

Thanks!

n8zzz 06-09-2013 01:39 AM

Ah I understand now. Yes my account was just over 1 year old at that time. Are you continuing to sell while the account is under review? I could see them putting you on the back burner if you halt sales all together. It's been a long time since I have been reviewed, but I think I was just selling like normal during the review process. I didn't even know what a suspension was back then.. likewise, I'm sure legit sellers continue to sell without any interruptions since they'd be confident that Amazon would pass the review soon enough.

barrycruan 06-09-2013 04:36 AM

I would never ever appeal a review, but especially not after this amount of time. Sit tight and you will be fine

MICKY H 06-09-2013 06:59 AM

Dude, just send them a polite email asking how long the review will take. I have done this many times and a few hours later the account is up and running again. If you don't contact them I believe they think you are not legit. Think about, if you are a new seller, ghost or not ghost you would ask the simple questions. Not asking I believe is asking for trouble.

I have appealed the review on two accounts and passed within a few hours. Many people on here say never to appeal. However, if you tell Amazon what they want to hear and are very detailed about your business plan then I think you will be fine.

barrycruan 06-09-2013 11:25 AM

True, but kelly is one of the very few people who have not had problems after appealing with amazon. If this was day one and you needed the funds then maybe appeal it. But Id say you have a 1 week wait at the most. Its not worth the risk.

Kelly441 06-09-2013 03:08 PM

Well both of the accounts that I appealed were selling legit no risk of being phake items. I think that's what makes the difference. If you are selling high risk items then you are probably not going to pass an appeal or 30 day review anyway unless you have built up a good amount of 100 percent feedback

Proper line of communication - polite but to the point e-mail - good that they replied to you Micky H so quickly

How long do you wait to ask them? Right after it goes into review?

I see your reasoning but amazon put you in review because they are not comfortable with the sales to feedback ratio. The best response to a review is to do everything you can to get over 10% positive feedback on orders. I have never sent them any messages regarding a review and never had any problems. Reviews are not done by people, its a computer prompt.

kuroneko44 06-10-2013 02:31 PM

I sent a message through amazon tech support and the review ended yesterday! Thanks everyone

n8zzz 06-10-2013 05:49 PM

Boom! There you go! I'm glad we nudged you a bit in the right direction :thumb: It wouldn't surprise me if Amazon purposefully lets sellers fall through the cracks sometimes.. like they would have never completed the review at all unless you bothered to contact them about it ^^

barrycruan 06-10-2013 06:54 PM

Pretty sure that the review ended as this was the 29th day, not because you sent them a message. Cant say this enough, there really is no need to contact them in the review period. Some people get away with it, but a lot dont. If you dont have enough cash flow to last a month then you are in the wrong business

A good positive news :) continue to operate wisely - reviews can follow in the future so never out of the water completely

40 days under review. Yesterday sent them more receipts. I was suspended 3 days before this review. Still suspended and now drafting my 3rd plan of Action.
I am so down and drained.

Re: Average Amazon Review Time?

Reviews can range from a few days to a month. My best experience going through the shortest times of reviews have been on accounts with a few established sales / positive feedback, and appealing with a detailed plan of action. If you're selling high risk items and not getting too many happy customers, I would avoid the appeal. But if you're doing well, and have happy customers appealing the review can speed things up.

Re: Average Amazon Review Time?

No high -risk items like DVD or software.
I sell baby clothes and some household items - almost everything is FBA.
Currently they hold about 10K in inventory , so I hope I got reinstated and at least sell whatever I have sent. I think with 2 suspension this account will not last long.
