Just had someone order outrageous number of products

I just had someone order 10 of something that cost 20 dollars each. I have never had anyone order more than 3 at a time.

What due diligence should I do about the buyer before going through with the order and shipping to make sure he is not a scammer/competitor?

Since it is such a large order I will probably throw in 12 or 13 for him since my profit margin is so good.

Check feedback first, only post to PayPal registered verrified address and make sure you get a signature on delivery.

Just checked his address, looks like he is in the army and the shipment is going to an air base.

Military people are the best customers. They dont try to cheat anyone. If they try, you can get the police involved and then the military police will/might also get involved. They will get charged with double charges if found guilty, civilian and military charges.

I would send the package by signature confirmation if possible. I would also write a personal "thank you" letter for being in the Army too. I have friends in the Navy that LOVE to get "thank you" letters from strangers. It makes them feel wanted and loved. I was in the Navy so I know all of this.

Throw in 2-3 extra item is a not good thing to do. If a real scammer they will love it and scam you anyway.

Be sure to use signature confirmation services. Add insurance if needed or certify mail.

@JamesNorth101: It is Amazon not E/P :)

Right you are, my mistake on that.

Still need to make sure you get a signature confirmation.
