Does selling FBA help with future feature merchant status

There is one cat im not a featured merchant in and I dont get why, but none the less I can get more using FBA.

Will doing FBA help me in becoming featured merchant status shipping myself in the long run?

Yes your FBA sales counts as your sales as they are your sales. So after you meet the requirement for said category you will become merchant fulfilled featured.
