ok with buying out a competitor?
 

Theres only a few of us left selling on a discontinued item.....Im the only featured merchant and im selling the item at xx$ more then everyone else and its still selling good for me...

Ive already purchased a bunch from another seller, ive left excellent feedback.....

Is this ok to do?

No rules against it, so long as you are not doing it to harm their business which is sounds like you are not.

Fair enough you appear to not have bad motives but why ask after the act?

Quite the question OP - business is business...item is not high risk (so it would seem) - dive in and best of luck on profit margin

Understood......the question is in my head "well what if they report this?

It wouldnt be too hard for him to figure it out since my name is part of my seller name.

just making sure before I buy more. Seems like there are no problems with this.

People buy and resell every minute on ebay , this is no different

I buy out competitors from time to time.
They simply become suppliers :)

Their items sell at a cheaper price.
I sell it for profit and they sell for profit.

Everyone wins.

If you are buying it for the price they are selling it for, then I dont see why would there would be any issues.
