Logged in with same IP

I accidentally logged into two of my stealth accounts with the same IP. These accounts are doing great and are about 4 months old. This is the first time making this mistake. I keep logs but got distracted.

I'm sure many of you have made the same mistake and was wondering whether your account lasted for a long time after or if both got suspended quickly?

I did not log in with an IP from a suspended account. Will that make a difference? Is it possible Amazon will send a warning and ask me to choose which account to keep open?

thanks

According to other posts, it might not be an issue.

More than one of us have signed into the wrong IP. We lived.

Kelly, I have to say though, TWO times?????

Must have been a good distraction

If Amazon detects this, they won't give you the choice of which account to keep open - both will be closed.

However, this may not happen. Usually, an account will not automatically be closed just because the IP's matched on 2 accounts. If those IP's recycle (dynamic as opposed to static) then many users could have logged onto Amazon with the same IP. When it becomes an issue is if an account gets suspended. Then a human being looks at it and tries to find any linked accounts. So, if both accounts are selling the same things and one gets suspended, the other may go down too. The more similarities between the accounts, the more likely they are to be suspended.

No it was one time on two accounts. In other words I logged in with an IP that I was using for another account. I have a 4 month old and a 4 year old.

I have strict steps I take to check IP and them logged in and I got distrated and did not follow them.

:(

As I said, must have been a good distraction.

Time to wait.

Fingers crossed for you.

Just imagine a major US airport, how many people log onto amazon from that location, they will not delete accounts just cos of matching ip. If its same stock etc, this then may link you

Ouch.

Just might not catch it.

I think I would sit on these for a bit to see what happens.

Sorry about this I hope it works out for you.

There is another thread where someone had an employee log in using the wrong accoun info on another accounts ip address. I think he reported a month later everything was still ok.

Just to be safe, give it a week - Amazon is usual fast on suspensions - already been about 3 days...1 time only is usually ok.

But make sure to be careful from now on.

Kelly, I'm sure you're alright. I did the exact same thing 6 weeks ago and my account is still fine. I feel like Amazon gives sellers a certain amount of "benefit of the doubt" when it comes to same IP log ins.

For example, you log into your account at a Starbucks where another banned seller also has logged in at; chances are, you are fine. But if you consistently log into that spot and the other guy is doing the same thing, I would imagine that could be problematic.

Or perhaps the software isnt designed to KILL on one shot. Glad it worked out for you - refrain from repetition
