Crazy Question

I know several of you have multiple stealth accounts.
Hypothetical question: Let's say I don't want to spend $300 dollars for a couple of accounts and want to just try selling under a alias name and alias address. :-)
Within these two accounts I only want to sell about 300 to 400 a month. Do you think this is possible in the U.S. to do this without Amazon asking for ss# or EIN?
Second part: If it is possible is it possible to manage to sell FBA?

Next Hypothetical: Let say I have a stealth account in good standing a month old and I decide to try and sell one of their (need permission categories). (Yes I know how to get approved) Would you suggest to try it or do you think it would get burned?

Hypothetical question 1: When you said 300 to 400 a month, I wasn't sure if you were referring to transaction or profit. But if you are referring to transaction, then you should know Amazon will suspend your account if you exceed 50-60 transaction because of tax reasons. Although in my case, even when suspended, they still continued to disburse my money even though I couldn't sell.
Regarding FBA, I have yet to use it but I hear it's a real profit booster for most.

Hypothetical 2: In my opinion, if you know how to get approve and you have a good conditioned account that amazon trusts you to maintain then the chances of you getting burned are slim. I don't think they'll burn you if they decide to give you permission, it wouldn't make sense.

Creating your own Amazon stealth accounts is the best way to go.

Amazon requires all accounts selling over 50 items in a year to place tax information on file. I would give them an EIN if the account is solid after selling the first 50 items.

YES, you CAN get approved to sell in categories that are restricted. But I would wait until the account has some history. Either that, or call them to ask about it BEFORE setting up the seller's account.

I would say BE CAREFUL with FBA! If they close your account, you will have to pay to get your merchandise back. One woman lost her account, was using FBA and had to abandon her inventory when they closed her account - Amazon wanted thousands of dollars to send her books back - all 5,000+ of them.
