Additional information about deleted accounts

Moderators, please do not move this to the subscribers section of the forum. People need this information..

So here's the small story..

Account goes down about a week into creation, so I contact Amazon regarding it and here's the email I receive:

Hello from Amazon.

We closed your account because we believe that you posted offers on our site and confirmed orders that you did not intend to fulfill.

Due to the proprietary nature of our business, we do not provide details on our investigation methods.

If we determine that a seller account has been used to engage in fraud or other illegal activity, we may permanently withhold remittances and payments. In accordance with this policy, we do not plan to transfer any funds to you.

To learn more about this policy, please search “When will I be paid” in seller Help.

Regards,

So I then reply to that email and send them this:

So that's it?! You are simply going to steal my money and merchandise because you simply feel I am doing something wrong?!?!

That's bull ****!

Sent from my iPhone

And after a few days I get a response.. Notice they said they weren't going to transfer any funds at all.

Here is the email I then received:

Greetings from Amazon.com.

Thank you for contacting us. Due to the status of your account we are reserving your funds in your Amazon selling account until we are sure all items have shipped and no A-to-z Guarantee Claims are received against your account. Your account will be evaluated 90 days after the initial date of block or closure request, which was 07/17/2013. Your funds will be disbursed to the bank account on file after your 90 day review, minus any outstanding chargebacks or A-to-z Guarantee claims.

Per section 2 of the AMAZON SERVICES BUSINESS SOLUTIONS AGREEMENT:

"If we reasonably conclude based on information available to us that your actions and/or performance in connection with the Agreement may result in a significant number of customer disputes, chargebacks or other claims, then we may, in our sole discretion, delay initiating any remittances and withhold any payments to be made or that are otherwise due to you under this Agreement for the shorter of: (a) a period of ninety (90) days following the initial date of suspension; or (b) completion of any investigation(s) regarding any Seller actions and/or performance in connection with the Agreement."

They all of a sudden changed their mind about transferring funds.

What the hell is going on? Is Amazon really this crooked and corrupt?

And how the fug am I supposed to avoid chargebacks if I can't even log into the account to process the current orders?!?! Hahaha, this is unbelievable! We should sue Amazon..

You can try and sue if you like but u won't get anywhere with that. They even included the agreement that you signed thats related to the BS reason they gave you for closing your account.

Amazon seems to be cracking down rather early this year on accounts. It will only get worst.

Yeah, they have a workaround for everything it seems.

Amazon - and ANY large company - has teams of lawyers that regularly review their business practices to make sure they are not putting the company at undue risk, or doing things that will get them into hot water legally.

The second email could be a glitch with the Amazon employee not understanding what exactly is going on. It could also be that someone in Seller Performance reviewed you account and decided that the 90 day hold was more appropriate. If that is the case, be happy and you will get your money in 90 days.

As to suing Amazon, good luck! I'm sure they would have a defense ready. Also, it could get VERY expensive and most attorneys won't take such cases on contingency - meaning that YOU would have to finance the lawsuit regardless of the outcome.

I think so......Two sellers I bought out I noticed their listings are inactive. Ive also noticed alot less small sellers the past month. They are either a huge seller or brand new.

Be careful guys.
