I don't have any pro merchant account and would like to know if you can see a customer's phone number in your order?

I'm new on Amazon, I was told you will see a phone number under your costumer's contact details, new pro sellers do not have this option embedded right away, older seller accounts do. (Explained by Amazon sales reps)

Don't get me wrong, she might be full of B*S, but for the sake of things, I cannot see any of my customer's phone numbers yet.

I have never seen one and my oldest account is over 4 years old, it only sells books, has a 99% positive rating, 100% seller rating (the internal account health number on the left side of the Seller Central screen) and has had only 2 return requests in the last year and ZERO A-Z claims.

I'm actually surprised that anyone sees phone numbers on Amazon. I've never even seen a customer's email address, much less a phone number. Maybe it is different in the UK.

International shipping orders ( on amazon uk) have phone numbers.

Not aware of anything else.

on amazon uk sellercentral account if you click on an order to look at the details the phone number is underneath the address

I have an account/s on USA and it shows phone # on every order after it is past the pending stage.

I do and my account was created Sept of last year. Started out as pro account at the time.

What I don't understand Tony, you are a long time seller on Amazon and you don't have a pro account, why? You are paying more commission etc as a standard seller.

I feel safe when spread my sale all over my accounts :)

I do have Pro merchant like 2-3 years ago but they all went south :)

I remember one of my account can see customer's phone number but don't pay much attention by that time. Not all the pro account see it.

If there is an option for that I will go with it to avoid a problem but if there is not, I will be stick with the individual plan

Just an update to this.

I just open a pro merchant account from the start and yes, it show the customer's phone number.

Maybe AZ feels that if you are a business (pro merchant) that you would need the #, but as an individual just selling for fun (insert joke here) you don't need to contact the customer as it could violate privacy laws.

Just my 2 cents.

Uh, am I missing something here? :confused: You have to be able to see the phone number which is located under the mailing address as UPS and Fedex require it.

But UPS and Fedex arent the standard shipping options I have seen...
