ebayhelpneeded | 07-30-2013 08:40 AM | Amazon requesting tax info I have my first Amazon stealth account up and running. I got banned off the site a few years ago and sold on Ebay for a long time before recently getting that account banned despite 3800+ positive feedbacks.
I used a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and a family member's address (with their permission) who lives about 30 miles away to start up the Amazon stealth account.
I have made 30 sales and have 6 positive reviews.
Amazon sent me an e-mail saying that they require tax information if you exceed 50 sales in a calendar year. What can I do to successfully pass the tax review?
I know they will not send the 1099-k until I get to $20,000 in sales. But they require the information to be entered into their database before you get to the government threshold.
Should I get an EIN or form an LLC at my family member's address with the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name on it and use that information to submit to Amazon?
Will they ever send any written correspondence to the address that I'll need to return, etc.?
Anyone been through this before have any recommendations on how to get around it?
Thanks |
