2 seller accounts at same address

Hello,
I would like to start selling on Amazon if possible, but I wanted to know if you can have 2 seller accounts at one physical address. My brother has one and I don't want to mess it up for him. Thanks!

Gamefreak 08-01-2013 11:26 PM

Simply answer is YES and NO.

Unless you get permission from amazon they will likely ban both of you guys

drebintech38 08-01-2013 11:30 PM

So should I call them?

I wouldn't do it ... that would just tip them off IMO

If you want, just open up a new seller account and use a nearby address

drebintech38 08-02-2013 12:02 AM

Well I already have a buyers account, so that might not work. Doesn't everything have to match up?

Ditch the buyer's account, it means nothing. You start up a new seller account from scratch using a completely different address.

Learn the ghost method and set up new ghost accounts that are UNLINKED to any old accounts - the whole principle is linking.

I should of mentioned these are legit accounts

amazon has rules regarding accounts at the same address.

Legit means little.

Be careful of how you proceed

Who knows what amazon is going to do. Why risk it

True - to an extent. Does not matter if legit accounts or not - still best to have no ties between them.

It's really not a good idea.

Use a different address.

nebuspp 08-03-2013 03:56 PM

Since a lot of stealth Amazoner's use UPS boxes as their address, has anyone opened multiple Amazon accounts at the same UPS location? So you would have multiple accounts at the same UPS store address but different suites. Would this cause any sort of linkage?

For Example: Account 1 is at 5933 Main Street Suite 395
For Example: Account 2 is at 5933 Main Street Suite 692
For Example: Account 3 is at 5933 Main Street Suite 025

It is easy to open UPS store boxes in other locations not in the same city, but it would still be convenient to have all the addresses at 1 location with different suites if this does not raise concerns in Amazon's eyes...you would figure either way there would be multiple Amazon accounts opened at certain UPS stores in the bigger cities.

Me and an old college friend literally had our amazon accounts set up like that. IE:

555 elm st #7 me
555 elm st #9 him

We werent ghost but were selling same product categories which would have raised a flag. Both used separate internet providers

nebuspp 08-04-2013 06:08 PM

Hmm that is pretty close to the same info with the address similarities and also selling the same product. Do you mind me asking how long each of you stayed in business and how much you sold...also FBA or fulfilled by yourself?

Far too close for true stealth purposes.

Avoid that.

Link will trip you and amazon does find out always

I go to this ups location to drop off FBA stuff, and they usually ask me to bring stuff in the back where they have other dropped off packages as well. I have seen at least 10 other FBA sellers boxes there with same UPS store address (just the box number different).

I think there are other factors to link as well, not just simple address, but yes if possible avoid multiple boxes at same location.

Definitely need to vary the address more than just #X at the end - can try putting #X-NNNN (number of the building), as an example....would be a good start
