For those who use vmware, I have a couple of questions I've been wondering about.
When you switch between your accounts, you never change your mac address? Do you only change your IP address because by default every vmware account has it's own mac address?
Also, when you switch between vmware accounts, do you prefer to suspend them for quicker access or completely log off?

No, because each VMware have it own MAC address.

No, IP will be change automatic cause it see different MAC

When done with the account, I shutdown the VMware image to save a resource for my PC

I disagree with TonyAlmeida. If you have a private network, this will not work. Tony has a unique ISP, and he has no private network. This is not default case with most ISPs.

What you mean by private and unique network/ISP??

I always state what ISP I used and how I setup to get the result that I want.

I thought this at first, too. However, I also assumed he meant it for his specific application.

A private network shares the same public IP.

Unique ISP - you are able to get multiple IPs from the same connection.

Can anyone tell me which version of VMware works best for windows 7. I am not sure if I just download the free trial and find a key or download with a key.

I always suspend. A suspended session no longer takes up any resources and will not slow the computer down

I do the same thing Kelly. But after the session was open awhile of constantly suspending it, I noticed degraded performance. I think once a week I shut down to combat this.

I always shut it down when done with it. Just take like a minute to start up

The newest version is going to work best with windows, unless there is some bug(s).

I have vmware share my host adapter. WHat ever the host IP is, then it is same for it. Just because it comes a mac does not mean it has it's own connection to your ISP.

Just change the mac before any logging on. I have about 10 accounts per VM. Then I load what ever VM I need the account from.

Shutting down or suspending does not matter much. But I shut down since I have many accounts, I do not want to suspend a user as that might not be the specific user I want to login into in the future.

I had a question. what do you mean by ".. 10 accounts per VM. Then I load whatever VM I need the account from... "? for example: So does that mean you have 10 accounts using windows xp then another 10 using win7? sorry if I am having a slow moment

Say you wanted 5 azon stealth accounts using VMware...

Do you create 5 new user accounts inside (1) VMware setup? or....

Do you create 5 new user accounts on your PC and install VMware on each user account?

Easiest thing for you to do is to create 5 new user accounts inside of one VMware setup.

I cannot think of any reason why to do it the other way. It would be a lot more work for you.

Why don't just create more user accounts with-in the main PC. The reason to use VMware so you can have different OS.
