3V is the best option. Plenty of outlets that sell them about.

Boots, Tesco, WHSmiths ect

I use £20 on amazon uk.

That way I am not going to be stung with a nil balance easily if amazon uk does 'tests' etc.

I tried to purchase a Sainsburys Gift Card today, but the member of staff told me they could only be used in Sainsbury stores and it doesn't give you the 16 digit code.

Is this wrong?

Typical of staff.

Rare to know their own product.

I must be doing something wrong. I got a Sainsburys Gift card with £20 on. I've registered the card, but I can see no way of obtaining the 16 digit number of any of the other info.

Any help would be appreciated.

Unless it has a Visa or Mastercard symbol on it, it is no use.

Sounds like you've purchased an in-store giftcard as opposed to a prepaid Visa or Mastercard (which is what you need).
