ODR Suspension - Account Reinstated - Time Frame to Improve?

Does anyone have some sort of time frame that Amazon gives you to improve your ODR after they reinstate your account? Your ODR rate obviously will not drop immediately after they reinstate your account so there must be some sort of threshold of time frame that Amazon uses to see an improvement.

Any input would be appreciated!

66 views and no replies yet...someone must know this as I'm sure there are loads of other forum members who have been reinstated from ODR suspension on the 1st go around. Please any input is helpful!

I dont know exactly the time frame - all I can really state is that you better work on it ASAP - Amazon is no joke policy...if they see bad ODRs, RARELY will you have time to work on the account - they will just suspend and you then have to appeal. As long as you can log in, you are good but work on your stats ASAP

Thanks for the advice! I have been fixing the past issues that caused AZ claims and have also vamped up selling items at break even so that the ODR % would go down with increased volume. This account was already suspended (twice actually) and I successfully appealed both times. The most recent one was an ODR suspension because I was somewhere around 1.1%.

I'm sure someone has been in the same situation where they successfully appealed an ODR suspension and got reinstated. My main concern is how long did it take you to get your ODR back under 1% so we can tell what sort of time frame amazon allows.

i have a pretty good answer for you. About a month. Before my last account fell into suspension, I was reviewed 4 times in a row and I noticed they were around the same time every month. Reviews fell around 4-7th of the month for me. It may be the same for you, if it is let us know. We may have a pattern going. By the way, I was also suspended for bad ODR.

Look at the dates, see the pattern?

There is a pattern. Every 4 weeks amazon review your account metrics, but the 4 week time frame is dependent on when you opened the account.

Thats why sometimes people will have metrics that should get them suspended but they can still sell until the end of that 4 week time period. Not really sure how this will help anyone tho. amazon normally give you a bit of time on a reinstated account. I dont know exactly how much but make sure your odr is going in the right direction and you should be ok.

If the OP's ODR is 1.1% then it should be quite easy to get back below 1%. Sell some high volume electronics at cost price and you will be good in a week or two.

Wow...Amazon suspended the same account in April, May, June, and July and you were able to get reinstated each and every time? I am very good at writing appeals but I would run out of different things to say if I have to appeal every month.

I am coming up on 1 month since my last suspension and reinstatement so we shall see what happens. My long term ODR has went down but the short term has went up to around 1.3% due to some claims a few weeks before my last suspension. In about 1-2 more weeks my high sales volume will reflect into the ODR and it will fall below 1%...the short term ODR is dropping about every other day right now.

i was a low volume seller that sold cellphones. tough to get odr back down from 2%+ with a risky category. people love to steal cellphones.

That is still very awesome to have your account reinstated that many times month after month. Did you send the same appeal in every time? I mean the reason you got suspended each time was ODR, so how did you make up a good different appeal each time that worked??

quantum773 08-23-2013 10:49 AM

Same appeal all 4 times lol.. I guess they caught on..

Themav 08-23-2013 11:41 AM

Get them out of the way now ... I had a review on 1st of December and got it back 1st January ..... all that lovely cash lost out on !! :(

rsot 08-23-2013 11:44 AM

quantum773, quite a solid push back on your part though and yes, some proof of a 1 month review recurring

nebuspp 08-23-2013 07:41 PM

Looking at my past history, I can actually vouch for the 1 month recurring. Will find out in the next few days if I'm safe.

When looking at the ODR screen which timeframe is the one that Amazon uses to suspend an account short term or long term?
