Amazon FBA sales not consistent? Anybody notice something similar?
Here are rough estimates of my sales on Amazon (I use FBA so I don't have to worry about shipping to my customers, mostly out of laziness):
6 days ago $500
5 days ago $500
4 days ago $150
3 days ago $85
2 days ago $1300
1 day ago $400
Today so far $50
My average order is $34 so as you can see my sales per day are not consistent at all. The $1300 day was SWEET but I have a feeling that they may have been all orders that were initially placed in the 2 day period prior on the $150 day and the $85 day and that it just took Amazon a few days for an unknown reason for these orders to show up on my account.
Furthermore, since I use FBA, I've noticed that often times some items in my inventory will show up as "reserved", so nobody can buy it, but I wont know why it's reserved. Then, a few days later, I'll receive an email from Amazon that says that one of my items sold that I had noticed a few days earlier was reserved. I noticed a LOT of items on reserve on the $150 and $85 day which all seemed to come through as orders on the $1300 day. So I don't think I actually had a great day, I think rather it just took a few days for these orders to be posted in my seller account, for some reason.
Anybody else know anything about this? I feel like this is a good question for the Amazon Seller Central forum ( http://sellercentral.amazon.com/forums) where it would get more traffic, but I trust the word of the people on this forum a lot more.
