Platinum Merchant

Just wonder anyone here is a Platinum Merchant?

- What is the benefit of it?
- How people apply for one?

Thank you

Thought you needed to be asked to become one?

I know you need to be a pro merchant.

It is then the usual selling volume, customer service excellence that comes to play.

Other point is they do get better visibility unlike their counterparts on eBay.

Reasonable article on them.

Hope this helps

Yeah GB is right, you get invited to become a Platinum Merchant, I got invited on one of my accounts earlier this year and I consider it to be a double edge sword. Cause on one end my sales nearly doubled but that brought alot more attention to my account and I had to provide a lot of docs etc... wasn't fun... overall I still prefer spreading my sales over many accounts rather than relying heavily on a few.

what kind of volume do you need to be doing to even get considered?

also better visibility? is there something over the buybox that I've never seen before?

Megabucks from what I read on sellerscentral. LOL.

Late at night ( for me) but they get 'prompts' with keywords or something?
Below is a thread from there. Found this during a 'fiddle & play' session....

Applies to USA as well. I checked that out too.

Maybe if my account ever grows up I might get asked

i read those, seems like a bunch of useless perks unless u want to enforce your IP rights on items you add to amazon to drive away pesky competition

I think it also varies greatly depending in the category you sell, with that account I was selling mainly in a less competitive category with very few featured merchants so though my sales were high they weren't huge. From reading the amazon forums some categories have some ridiculously high minimums for reaching it, so it can vary greatly.
