Amazon Can't Meet Their Own Standards

Amazon has their own seller named "Amazon Warehouse Deals". Their 90 day rating is 90 percent. Why would they allow a seller with that low a rating stay on Amazon?

Oh - it's their own account - that's why!

File this under "Do as I say - not as I do!". What hypocrites!

Just because the seller name has the word amazon in doesnt mean it's one of their accounts. I run a couple of eBay accounts with the word eBay in.

If anything it's a seller who was very clever with his account name

Yah but I see the ops point. What I notice often is when I buy from Amazon they either miss the delivery estimate or else take an inordinate amount of time to mark an order shipped - it stays in the processing phase forever. Who knows - maybe AZ is dropshipping... nah!

Either way they are tight with amazon, this "seller" sells alot of open box items which I would guess are returns from Amazon. Alot of the items the items are still new with their protectieve wrap on it, just an open box.

I want to know why Tigerdirect and Circuit City are allowed to stay on. They merged into one company a year ago but yet run two accounts on Amazon.

the worst part is both have terrible feedback

Yeah, I will say sometimes I have seen TD lose their featured status. They shouldnt be featured at all though.

99% likely that they're both premier merchants, so they get away with a lot more.

Exactly with a lot of paperwork submitted for tax purposes, etc - wouldnt make sense for Amazon to ax their accounts.

As for the Warehouse account...could just be flying below the radar

I pointed out in one of my threads there s a seller from China with 60 percent and has been selling in volume for over a year

Amazon warehouse is indeed run by amazon, or at least part of it. However since when has 90% ever got anyone banned on an established account? I regularly have people on 80-85% competing against me.

Amazon are not perfect but i would hardly call this a double standard.
