3 Month Ghost account just got ghosted.
 

Hey my ghost account just got canned. Did like $15k in sales and never notified me on a review. Was just listing products today and I got the notification that my account has been suspended. Followed stealth tactics to a "T"

Did LLC under step relative name
New comp
Seperate ISP
bank account under LLC
slowly worked in products with a buch of fluff. Even then never sold same products but they are in same category.
WTF?

All green, one policy warning 2 months ago. Electronics. I guess I didn't get linked because that would have been a deletion?

There's a chance that you can get your account back. I have this problem before with my account. Just suspended and never received any email or even the note in your performance page. I email seller support and explain the situation. I think I got my account back 1 day later with out any explanation from Amazon.

If Amazon suspected a stealth account, or that you were selling counterfeits or other illegal items, the account would have been deleted. That would mean you could not log in anymore and they would not respond to you. They would also keep your money.

The fact that you can still log in is promising. Even if the account is toast, at least you should still get your money in 90 days.

You need to find out why the account was suspended and file an appeal.

For future reference, you might want to go a little bit slower on new accounts. $15k over three months averages out to $5k per month which is a LOT of money to be running through a new account. That invites scrutiny.

I am NOT suggesting that the OP was selling anything illegal. I was just pointing out the circumstances under which an account could be deleted as opposed to suspended.

I have had bots suspend my account many times for saying certain words in the description. I received no email. I called Amazon and they told me why the bot flagged me and said not to use those words and the reinstated my account. Just call them.

I'm glad you got your account back. Heed this warning sign - Amazon and eBay are UNSTABLE platforms to run a business.

Create more stealth accounts. Don't rely on ONE account for 100% of your income. Spread your risk and your business will be stronger.

OP...It is blessing to have your account back and you may feel a false sense of security after some time passes and as you get back into selling normally.

However, as jeff notes, having a single account is not ideal (especially with the amount of money you having flowing through that one account).

You will have many sleepless nights if something happens to the account again. Create many accounts and spread the wealth.

Congratulations - now do what jeffweico recommended - get backups going IMMEDIATELY.

Never think for 1 moment that you are scott-free and 100% solid on this account only.

or even on 5 accounts. You should have bank accounts already opened and other stealth accounts already established as backups for you main ones

Metrics are great. They did it immediately after listing an item, just like last time. Im pretty sure its a bot tripping over wording but im following amazon guidelines. I dunno whats up.

If I buy an pre october 2011 amazon account is there gonna be a problem switching it to stealth?

Yes, they would immediately know things had changed (PC, IP, etc.). Amazon accounts have never been sold on the forum.
