Amazon asking for ID no and bank when registering?
 

Hi, I recently went back on amazon and tried to open an account on amazon.de for me to compete my registration amazon asking for a bank account and primary contact personal information. Anyone come across this?you can select the personal informAtion to submit. Passport, eu card, driving license numbers.. Anyone can help?

Keep in mind I am in the USA... Once I had Amazon ask me to add a bank account when I registered. Normally, they only ask for this after you have made sales.

I found out that the problem was I had dialed the wrong modem number and it looked to Amazon like I was using a computer in a different state from my stealth user information.

They have never asked me for any type of an ID number, however.

Never had this on any EU account, opened a new de account 1 month ago. Maybe its a new security check they have introduced or maybe they have linked you already to an old account and want to verify if its the same person before they open or close the account. Just thoughts

When you say back on 'amazon', do you mean amazon de?

If you have an account no longer active on there., they may be linking this one...

Just opened an account after a while. Not been doing amazon. And all fresh PC, dongle vcc ect
